Sharon Patey was born and raised in the farming community of Magrath, Alberta, Canada. She and her husband, Kenneth Patey, were married in 1963, and in August of 1965, moved to Provo, Utah. Sharon is the mother of eleven children. "Only ten pregnancies," she says. She delights in the fact that she has been involved in Family Life Education both personally and professionally all her adult life. Her travel experience (Canada, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East) has not only provided her with a wealth of educational opportunities but has also allowed her to develop a profound love for all cultures. When it comes to DIVERSITY & RELATIONSHIPS, Sharon notes that "for the most part, we are more alike than different. We truly are a WORLD FAMILY. We ALL care about relationships and we want to make this world a better place in which our children can live." In 1980, Sharon began a second career where she and her husband provided educational courses and workshops for individuals struggling in relationships, and for families fractured by domestic violence and divorce. Here Sharon discovered one of her greatest loves-training individuals to tap into their personal resources by TRUSTING THEIR INSTINCTS & INTUITIVE RESPONSES. As Sharon served these families, she realized that it was never too late to fulfill a life-long dream. At the age of 55 she went back to school and finished her Bachelor's Degree in Human Development, and then completed a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work. She is now working as a Therapist for GrowthClimate® Therapy Services, and skill-trains professionals as GrowthClimate® Relationship Specialists.
