The Role of Parents During the TODDLERHOOD STAGE of Development [Ages 2-3]
Hosts: Kenneth H. Patey, Sharon Patey
A baby's brain is like a blank slate, and it learns. The little child is learning how to think. Just know that during this phase of your child's development, he/she is learning how to relate to the world.

During this period, children are very ego centric and self-centered. This is NORMAL! They are defining the self and are beginning to see themselves as unique individuals different from mom and dad. Just know that good parenting skills at this time will support children in this differentiation phase of development. You can be a great asset as they transition into, through, and out of the terrible two's. [As least you HOPE they’ll transition out!] When you can see this as a critical growth phase, you'll be able to laugh at it more than cry!
